Flest explained they were recently hired hands and should be aware of the ship's unique crew make up. The ship set off within the hour and the three day voyage began. The first day went by slowly, the land disappearing behind them. The party did some various activities, studying the various books they've found, playing games, learning languages, helping with crew morale, etc. Saxon even almost drowned after joining some of the sailors in a bet that they were too scared to take part in.

The first day passed without any other incidents, the ship continued sailing and all was well. During the second day, a mysterious fog rolled in that seemed to put all onboard to sleep. When everyone woke up there seemed to be no other issues, nothing was missing or damaged from what anyone could tell. Eventually the ship came across the wreckage of another ship covered in a root like structure, nothing seemed to break it or reduce it. A quick search of the accessible portions of the ship and found a carpet that was not ruined.

The sailing continued, but part way through the second day a mimic was noticed to be missing. The party began a search of the ship with the crew, eventually in the cargo hold a small puddle of gray goop was found. The search for the mimic turned into a search for the murderer, only for a second murdered mimic to be found. It didn't take long to find the culprit after that, who acted as if he never knew of the mimics working on the ship.

He was confined to an empty room and a funeral was had at sea for the two mimics lost. The party theorized that maybe the fog affected the man, but nothing conclusive could be determined. As the second day came to a close, the ship passed by a group of glowing jellyfish giving a nice sight to close a terrible day.
}
